I'm trying to kill Playful Darkness, but so far I'm not so much as making a dent in him. I've tried to dispelling his protections but that rarely works If you don't mind save scumming, he's not immune to baleful polymorph. He'll eventually roll a nat 1 against it and the fight becomes trivial (although it will take a long time). Playful Darkness has some buffs at caster level 20 and some at caster level 12. The ones at caster level 12 can be dispelled pretty easily in the standard way (it's a DC of 23 vs your caster level + d20), but you have a much smaller chance of hitting the the caster level 20 spells (DC of 31 vs your caster level + d20). I just managed to finish the act 3 without killing Playful Darkness : after some test, I could tank him with Seelah, filled with all buffs and stuff I have but the fight was so sloggy I decided to avoid this one until mid-act 4.
