It used to be quadruple. Techs used to make $15/hr while rphs used to make $60/hr. Now, techs make $15-35/hr, while rphs make $60/hr or lower. Rphs make more than techs bc they assume all liability, have 8 years medical and rx knowledge, and went through 8 years of doctorate degree education and owe $200k in loans on average.I went from making $13/hour to $23/hour by switching from being a server to a pharmacy tech in a year. I went from 15.65 to 20.65 just by switching pharmacies 😂. Almost all the pharmacists i interact with think Techs should make at least 1/2 of the pharmacists salary.
