Hello all, I have this 2001 VW Eurovan that came in for timing chains, original codes were 'P0341' and 'P1347'. Scoping the cam and crank initially indicated that timing was off. Replace the timing 'window wheel' on the intake cam (no change) and put another cam sensor on (no change). Engine is running (seems fine). Re-checked the timing, crank mark righ on and cam sprocket mark right on. What else could cause "implausible".
P0341 temperamental EPC light. So just did a new timing chain and tensioner on my 2009 GTI and got it all put back together. However, drove it 50 miles, and after maybe 10 or so, I got a message Engine Fault! And the EPC light showed up, then it disappeared.
