Subaru outback driver window reset
Jan 2, 2016 · 1. Close the driver’s door. 2. Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position. 3. Open the driver’s side window halfway by pushing down the power window switch. 4. Pull up the power window switch and close the window completely. Continue pulling up the switch for approximately 1 second after the window is closed completely. There's a window reset procedure that might fix this - maybe caused by the battery disconnect. I believe it's in the owner's manual, but I have a bookmark with the procedure. When I try to close the passenger side window by lifting the power switch, it goes all the way up then bounces back to halfway shut (or open - take your pick). It won't move up again until I move it down after which i can incrementally move it up until it closes.

Apparently it just needs to be reset and the way you solve the problem is to run the window all the way up so it's closed, then you pull on the up switch again and hold it for 3 seconds.
