Aug 9, 2023 · This is a used Sporterized DOT KAR98K rifle chambered in 8mm Mauser. It features a 24-inch barrel, 5-round capacity, claw extractor, and wood stock. Overall, this rifle is in good condition with normal age-related wear throughout the barrel, bolt, and stock. The barrel has some pitting. Bore condition is fair with pitting towards toward the muzzle.I've recently come into possession of a sporterized Kar-98, which, if I'm not mistaken, dates back to 1938. It's a beautiful piece with a lot of history, and I've been debating the next steps in its journey.
