Old horton crossbow models
Just bought this xbow for my 8yr old son. Im 35 and i only use a compound. About Horton Crossbow InnovationsJim C. 23457 posts · Joined 2002. #2 · Nov 28, 2005. 1) not familiar with that bow but I am with horton. 2) 200 pounds is overkill IMHO unless you are hunting big bear, bison, or similar sized game. 3) 200 pound bows are harder on the string, noiser and harder on the trigger lock than the 150-165 pound bows I hunt with.

Stick with the 2219 as planned and keep them straight. If you want to pick up a few more FPS then shoot 100 grain points as it originally was supplied with 125gr points.
