Pull down on the base of your shifter, under that there’s a little clip you have to disengage to remove your shift knob. Then you can pull the shifter trim interior piece up and look around for something.There is a plastic mechanism under the shift knob/handle, brake shift lock that prevents shifting out of park if the brake is not pressed, or the key is not inserted and turned to the run position. This plastic assembly wears out/brakes and needs replaced. Search for a YouTube video on it. It’s easy to do.
