The torque curve just isn't there for long hills loaded heavy. Peak torque pops in at 1600 and tapers off as rpms Increase. So by that math 1600 should be good, wrong its hp just isn't there at that low of a rpm. Ive found the best happy place is 2300. Right out of the box, the LBZ produced 360hp and 650 lb-ft of torque.
