Well, I tried starting it and it crank but bogged like crazy on part throttle. I decided to get a new carb and jetted it from the factory 38 pilot to a 42 and it still Boggs. Once past that 1/4 throttle point it revs up like a new bike. Only before the 1/4 position it Boggs.May 6, 2016 · Also add some oil treatment into the oil pan before adding new oil. When half of the bottle is in put the oil in there. It could also be the oil you're using. I use 15w40. I heard it's a little bit thicker to reduce friction between the engine and pistons. Maybe you should try that with the oil treatment.

Yes, the screw is a pilot screw, but we call it an air or fuel screw to help us remember what the screw is regulating and thus help us to know whether to go up or down a jet size depending on how far the screw is in or out.
