I do not have enough history yet but I like my green circle dot 507 . However, if the OP bought a slide milled for a HS-407/507C-X2, that definitely tips the scales in favor of the HS-407/507C-X2. I'd never run an adapter plate on any pistol.6354 needed modification because newer red dots had a different profile that interfered with the ALS system. 6390 fixed that by changing the shape and profile of the ALS's mechanism, so in theory any red dot that shares a footprint with an RMR or DPP will fit the holster. The Gen 5 G17 is the MOS version and came with the 4 plate mounting kit. Neither of the 4 plates will work with the Holosun. I guess i just assumed surely one of four mounting plates would surely work right.
