Everything I've found to this point indicates a problem in the cooling system, but the problem is that I'm running out of fixes. I've changed out the temperature sensor, the water pump ...It is dirty and not allowing enough air to bypass the butterfly valve/plate inside at idle. When you slow to a stop with the a/c on - the engine idle drops too low causing a rough idle and the HVAC fan to slow. The lurching is probably caused because the butterfly valve closes and "sticks" momentarily due to the dirt inside the throttle body bore.
