2,612. Location. Wyoming. May 13, 2010. #2. The 7mm rem mag, 264 win mag and several others are all about the same and can be used for the 257, 270 and 7mm wby's. They are all just a little short though but after a couple firings they are the same length. The 257 wby stretches brass fairly quickly. S.I shoot a 257 WBY but it's built on a Rem. 700 action with a custom 27.5" barrel it shoots both 100 gr Nos B/T and 115 gr. Nos B/T to the same spot. Here's what shoots good in my gun. 1. RL-25 75.0 Grs. Nos. B/T 100 gr. Fed 215M primer. 3.280 OAL .670 group 5 rds 3604 fps Avg. across chrony. 2.I know the 257 mag like back of hand and have ran 75 grain pills to 117 in them with many different powders, so im guessing the above was a miss type or not a 257 WYB MAG. drhenley. While Nosler does not list H4831 (or H4831SC) in the current Reloading Guide, QuickLoad projects a maximum charge of 66.5 grains of either H4831 or H4831SC with a 115 grain Nosler Partition in the 257 Weatherby Magnum.
